The Spiders offer youth programs through our partner organizations and our 501(c)3 Spiders Community Web throughout the year. Youth programs are a great way for kids to start playing Ultimate, stay healthy and active while developing new skills, and have fun while making lifelong friends.

The Spiders offer a variety of youth programs annually to foster community and support players of all ages, skill levels, backgrounds, and abilities. Below you'll find general information about programs offered throughout the year.

Youth Programs

Spiders Ultimate Sports Class

Offered in partnership with Bay Area Parks and Recreation Departments, school districts, and other youth organizations, Spiders Ultimate Sports Classes are designed to introduce new and recreational players to Ultimate in a safe, fun, beginner-friendly environment. Generally offered once per week in 4-6 week sessions for Grades 3-5, these classes are a great way to learn fundamental Ultimate skills through mini-games, drills, and modified Ultimate games. Registration includes a Spiders team disc and other prizes, and the opportunity to meet Spiders coaches and players first-hand.

Spiders Elite Training Clinics

Designed for Middle School players familiar with the basic skills and rules of Ultimate, Spiders Elite Training Clinics help players develop their Ultimate specific skills such as throwing, handling, cutting and defending. Elite Training Clinics are offered on weekends throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring and led by experienced Spiders coaches and current players. Registration includes a Spiders team disc, reversible jersey, and pizza dinner.

Spiders Private Training

For those players preparing for competitive school, club, college, YCC or similar teams/tournaments, Spiders coaches and players are available for private or semi-private training. Offered year-round, individually or in small groups (max. 8 players), Spiders coaches and players will work with players to develop specific skills through pro-style training and conditioning. If you are interested in private training, please complete this form, and Spiders staff will contact you to discuss programming options.

Summer Camps

Each Summer the Spiders offer youth camps in partnership with Bay Area Parks and Recreation departments and community partners. Camps may include full or half day options for varying ages and skill levels, based on seasonal staff availability and experience. Camps often overlap with Spiders regular-season games and events, giving campers the opportunity to win prizes throughout the week and receive special recognition at Spiders home games. Registration for camp programming generally begins in April, join the Spiders mailing list to stay up to date on programs throughout the East Bay.
